A couple days ago I decided that I have two boys and they need adventure (and so do I) and we're in California so it was time to hit the road and go on one. We headed to Pismo Beach for the day. It's a town along the coast about 2.5 hours from us.
The day was magical and one I will never forget. It was just me and my two boys. It was beautiful, the sun was shining and the drive was really pleasant. When we got there we went straight to the beach and spent a few hours there. Toby LOVED it! He ran all around and collected seashells. Tyce just sat on the blanket and played and watched the ocean. He LOVES it anytime we're outside and although I was worried the whole drive there because he hadn't taken his usual nap, he was totally fine and happy the entire time. I loved being by the ocean and after we went to a butterfly park and saw thousands of butterflyes that migrate there in the winter.
The day was perfect and I LOVED spending it with just my boys! I can't imagine all the fun things I will be able to take them to do when Tyce is about Toby's age. Having two boys will be full of adventure, that's for sure and I'm going to try to savor every minute of it!!
